Robert Oster Grey Seas is a very nice ink! The seas might be grey, but the skies are a lovely blue, and hints of pink cover everything! I really like this ink!

In written stroke, it does act like a grey, but there is far more going on here, with prominent faded blues and pinks. It’s average in terms of drying time, and well-behaved in terms of cleaning. In areas of wettest application, it becomes a deeper, dusty blue. There’s decent shading, and nice definition to the written stroke. As you can see in the splatter, this ink sheens slightly on the edges with a slim strip of silver.

Robert Oster makes a lot of beautiful, interesting inks. This may not seem as flashy as some of the others, but few have won my heart so quickly. It’s a winner in every way! I have a feeling that this is going to be among my currently inked for quite a while.
