Robert Oster Heart of Gold is a deep 24k gold. Written strokes are thoroughly coated in a rich, lustrous draping of almost syrupy gold sheen. It's amazing in its brilliance and consistency. They couldn’t have made it any closer to what they wanted. This is truly the heart of gold for fountain pen ink.

Writing performance doesn’t suffer here. Strokes are crisp, and look at that drying time! It’s a shimmer ink, so you need to consider cleaning when choosing a pen, but there aren’t any unexpected surprises. In my experience, standard cleaning was really all that was needed. I didn’t have problems with clogging when writing, but you know your pens much better than I do, so choose a pen that has good flow, and you won’t have any problems.
