I didn’t think this was going to be an ink that I would care for in the longer term. However, it quickly grew on me. I really enjoy Vinta La Paz, and regularly have it inked in a pen. I’ve been looking forward to posting it!

La Paz is an unusual blend of yellow, brown, and a bit of green, giving it a bronze, dark mustard yellow appearance. At its lightest, it leans more towards a sandy yellow, but with wetter application it takes on the dusty, murky brown and green influences.

It’s a beautiful writing ink. As you can see on both the splatter and the swatch card, in the medium nib that I use for testing, La Paz produced a very bronze, dark mustard that is easy to read and oddly pleasant. The strokes are crisp and well-defined, with darkening along the edges. There’s some nice shading, as well. It’s very well-behaved and dries slightly quicker than average.

I really don’t have a single negative to highlight here. If Vinta Inks Bronze Yellow La Paz appeals to you, don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed.
