Pierre Cardin - La Havana Vintage Pink
Pierre Cardin La Havana Vintage Pink Ink drop
Pierre Cardin’s City Fantasy series offers a nice, full range of colors, and La Havana Vintage Pink fits in well. The brand has a number of nice series with fun themes, and they are veery affordably priced. I’d love to see the Hong Kong-based brand more widely distributed, but you can find them.
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Air Light and Tomoe River
La Havana Vintage Pink is an attractive dusty rose pink. On many papers, it clearly leans to its red foundations, but on others the plum influences are slightly more forward. I think many people will like the balance and overall feel of the result. Overtime, I’ve been disappointed by some of the popular inks in this range of the spectrum, but in this case, it’s been a pleasant surprise.
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Iroful and Takasago Bank Papers
In writing, this is a solid performer. What really stands out is the exceptional and very visible, dark profile edging that frames each stroke. On all papers other than Takasago Bank, the crisp, clean dark edges jump to your attention! It’s neutral to slightly dry in feel, but flow is smooth and slightly wet, and it’s consistently comfortable on the page. No complaints from me in performance!

Like the other City Fantasy inks from Pierre Cardin, you have three sizes from which to choose. I bought the 15 ml, but there are 30 ml, and 50 ml bottles, as well. Much like Diamine, all sizes are priced to make you smile. Do a quick search and take a chance on this brand. You won’t be disappointed!
