Tramol - Candy - Kiwi
This is Kiwi from Tramol’s Candy Ink series. There are eight colors in this series of highly water-resistant, pigmented inks. The theme is fresh and bright. At US$4-5 per bottle (including shipping), it’s great to have these waterproof options available.
Candy Ink Kiwi has the classic kiwi-green base color that you would expect. It’s mild and disarming, and quite pleasant as it fills the page. There are small bits of shading, but it’s more dark-to-medium than dark-to-light. It’s an attractive ink, but it lacks a bit of the “wow” of some of the dye-based alternatives.
In terms of writing experience, this is a fairly fast drying ink with moderate flow. It’s neither wet, nor dry, but it’s consistent and performs well. There was no feathering and only slight bleed-through. Overall, it’s a nice writing ink.
Tramol makes nice quality pigmented inks. Pigment inks offer the water-resistance that we all need from time to time, but you need to respect them. I don’t recommend leaving Kiwi (or any pigmented ink) in pens for extended periods or using it in cherished demonstrators. With pigment inks, the possibility of staining is too high. Used with caution, the Tramol Candy Ink series is a nice selection of pigmented options, and the cost on AliExpress is ridiculously low. Enjoy!
Tramol’s pigment inks and dye inks are available on AliExpress. At around US$2 per bottle, they are some amazingly affordable inks. These are good quality inks, and a brand you should have in your collection. I definitely recommend the series! Enjoy!
