Giftionery Delta Daydream - Ink drop
After reviewing Skyhigh from Giftionery Delta a couple of months ago, I mentioned that I regretted not being able to buy Daybreak (I also had several requests to get it, as well.) Well, I was able to get a bottle, and here it is!
In the summer of 2024, Giftionery Delta blended three inks at a Sailor Ink Workshop held in their store and released them under their own brand. The three are called the Thanksgiving series. The missing third ink (and hardest to find) is Lucifer. We’ll have to see if I can get that at some point, too.
Ink Swatches on Cosmo Air Light and Tomoe River
As you can see, Daybreak is a nice violet that runs from lavender to purple. In shading, it’s soft in tone, but it’s much more aggressive in saturated areas. Normal writing on Cosmo Air Light and Iroful is really quite delicious in appearance! It’s also multichromatic with the occasional hint of green in the light stroke ends on some papers. Waterbrush users and other creatives will really enjoy this one.
Ink Swatches on Takasago Bank Paper and Iroful
In writing, it is rock solid on almost all papers. On Yamamoto Bank paper stroke profiles cracked, but that was really the only instance. Stokes were very crisp and sharp on all others tested. Drying was just slightly longer than average, and the chromatography suggests good water resistance.

You can find the Thanksgiving inks in the square, 50 ml bottles recognizable from Sailor’s Manyo series. Giftionery Delta is based in Osaka, but you can find it on their website (Delta Original Ink DayBreak - Design Stationery STYLE DEE.) I bought mine from Cafe Cally in Korea. I highly recommend both Daybreak and Skyhigh, and Giftionery Delta also have several other series that will interest you, as well.
