Colorverse - Cat
Meow, kitty! What a beautiful blue! Cat is from the Colorverse, season 3, Multiverse collection. It was originally packaged in a 15 ml bottle together with a 65 ml bottle of a green ink called Shrodinger. It's now available as a single 30 ml bottle, as well. In the Colorverse catalog, it’s ink number 22.
I really think this is one of the great in the blue category. It has some very devoted followers, but it isn’t as well-known as it should be. It’s a very potent middle-blue, both bright and aggressive. There's some moderate shading from a muted pale medium to a deep, strong mid-dark. And when dry, this cat roars with a powdery platinum shimmer, and pools in a silver to green-gold shimmer with hints of red sheen. At times, the result is almost a rainbow of color.
I was worried given all the glamour, but it's a surprisingly nice writing ink. Strokes are clean and crisp. Drying was very not a problem at all, and this isn’t always the case for a shimmer ink that sheens! I haven’t had any problems in terms of flow or maintenance with the shimmer, but with any shimmer ink, it’s always best to be strict in your practices.
Colorverse Cat is a beautiful blue. Whether you shake the bottle before filling a pen to maximize the shimmer, or gently fill without movement to keep the shimmer more restrained, this ink will make you purr. One word sums it up - amazing!
