Tono & Lims - No.11 Boundary…
Today’s ink is beautiful to me, and I think to a lot of other people as well. This is the kind of color that speaks to your heart. I definitely like it, and that makes its quirky name inappropriate for me. This is No.11, Boundary Between Like and Dislike from Tono & Lims’ Standard line.
Visually, this is a soft, gentle, lavender violet with undertones of deep pink and subtle blue. When fully dry, the undertones remain visible on some premiums, but on others, they fade, and it deepens to a pure violet. In some ways, it’s similar to Vinta Violet Maskara, and Sailor Manyo Nekoyanagi. Office copy showed significantly more pinkness when dry, which I like very much. On premiums, it’s a nice shading ink with a strong edge halo.
It’s consistent and reliable as a writing ink. Neutral in wetness, it’s always comfortable and smooth flowing. Strokes were sharp and clean, as well. Drying was 15 seconds on premiums, and under 5 seconds on office copy.
Tono & Lims No.11 Boundary Between Like and Dislike is a beautiful, graceful ink, both quiet and sophisticated. There are certain kinds of writing (journaling, for example), when this is exactly the mood I’m looking for in a color. I think it also has lots of potential with a water brush. I’m nowhere near the boundary on this one. For me, this is a clear “like”, and I definitely recommend it to you.
