Robert Oster Tranquility is a gorgeous green teal. I really like this ink in terms of both performance and color. I recommend it often, and almost always have a pen inked with it. It’s definitely one of my favorite Robert Oster inks, and one of my overall favorites, as well.

Tranquility is a moderate shading ink in a medium nib. Wetter lines will sometimes hint of the reddish-pink sheen that covers areas of deeper pooling. On some papers (as you can see in the first image on Rhodia), you’ll find subtle hints of sheen on stroke edges. This ink is always pleasant on the eye, and actually does give off a calm and tranquil personality.

Robert Oster inks are often considered to be on the dry side, but that's not the case here. Tranquility is a fairly wet ink. It flows well, dries fairly quickly, and has never caused any problems in performance or maintenance. You won’t have any problems with feathering, and drying is nice and quick, too. I almost always have a pen inked with it, and it always performs perfectly.

Tranquility is appropriately named, as longer writing sessions with a juicy nib are truly calming. It’s a great ink. I love this ink, and I think you will, too!
