Pennonia is a boutique ink maker based in Carei, Romania, but the company also identifies strongly with Hungary. Máté Binfalvi, the owner, says the inks are “inspired by Hungarian language, tradition, and even popular culture.” As of Dec. 2023, they offer 47 inks, and Csillám (bottles of liquid shimmer ink additive) in 16 colors that can be added to other inks. Pennonia inks are nicely priced and come in 60ml bottles.
