PenBBS - 311 Rose - Ink drop

This is number 311 in the PenBBS collection. Rose is an ink with many faces. The ink swatch shows a vibrant pink in its lighter areas, which grows darker, and richer in wetter areas. Written strokes show a far deeper, delicious, raspberry red.

Rose is an incredible shimmer ink. The raspberry red of written strokes is only visible at the edges. Like the ink splatter, the rest is covered in an explosion of silvery shimmer.

On Rhodia paper, I did not have trouble with feathering. However, on both the swatch card, and the ink splatter itself, feathering was fairly heavy. I am surprised by the level of feathering, given that it is such a quick-drying ink. I don’t often have this problem with PenBBS inks.

This is a beautiful pink, shimmering ink, but the heavy feathering requires careful consideration for your choice of paper. In the end, PenBBS Rose is probably best suited as an art ink.
