Today’s ink is a gorgeous spring ink, but probably best suited to the first few weeks, when the cherry blossom trees are still in bloom. This is Cherry Blossoms, ink no.158 from PenBBS.

PenBBS - 158 Cherry Blossoms - Shades of coral!

PenBBS Cherry Blossoms is a celebration, a festival of pinks, oranges, and corals! Not even on office copy, do you get just a single color. At its lightest, it matches the soft pink of its namesake. The base color is darker, and much brighter. It’s more of a deep, day-glow pink, almost like a pink highlighter. Dark areas add more orange, and dry to a deep coral. The splatter reveals a brilliant, gold edge sheen, but none showed in writing. This is a gorgeous ink, but it’s definitely not meek!

PenBBS - 158 Cherry Blossoms - light to dark shades

As a writing ink, this is a very easy ink to like. It’s very wet, and smooth, but it dries very quickly, too. All premiums dried in 10 seconds or less, and on office copy it was under 5. Strokes were sharp and clear on all papers. It’s a strong shading ink, with shading seen on all papers, as well. There was a nice edge halo on premium papers. This is a flexible ink, that you can use with confidence!

Wow! What an ink! OK, it’s probably not office appropriate, but are you really buying it for the office? This ink puts on an incredible display, but it isn’t all show. It’s a fantastic writing ink, too. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate!
