Based just outside Berlin, Germany, Pelikan have been making inks since 1838. They are a huge influence on the writing instruments and stationery market and make some of the finest pens and inks in the world. Their inexpensive 4001 ink series has eleven inks (including two highlighter inks for fountain pens), and the more premium Edelstein collection includes fourteen inks. The Edelstein inks are high quality at a fairly high price, and the bottle is one of my favorites.
