Troublemaker - Hanging Rice
Troublemaker Hanging Rice is a wonderfully lively, vegetal green, fresh, and thriving. It exudes positive energy, and the healthy green potency of chlorophyll.
The name Hanging Rice refers to the traditional snack pusô, which is made using rice expertly wrapped in a woven palm leaf parcel and boiled to create almost a dumpling-like texture. A long piece of palm leaf extends from the weave and is often used to hang the parcel to attract hungry customers.
Hanging Rice is a nice shading ink that darkens with wet application. It performed beautifully on all six test papers and dried quickly, too. I recommend testing in a few nibs to find the appearance that you like best as results vary, but performance and writing experience are consistent.
In many ways, it reminds me of both KWZ Green Gold 2, and Rohrer & Klingner Alt-Goldgrun. That’s impressive company, and it combines qualities of each. I’m sure you’ll enjoy Troublemaker Hanging Rice.
