Noodler’s Rachmaninoff - Swatch Card

When the occasion calls for an explosion of nuclear pink, this ink certainly answers the call! It’s dangerous, untrustworthy, and reeks of toxic shame, but wow! What a pink!

That’s a Lamy Vibrant Pink Al-star in the first picture, and Rachmaninoff makes it look pale and impotent in comparison! It may be too aggressive a pink for some, but it's definitely not boring!

It’s wet and writes nicely. Strokes were clean and sharp, Drying was remarkably quick, as well.

Noodlers - Rachmaninoff ink drop

Rachmaninoff - Wow, that’s a pink!

I’d be careful with this one. On opening the ink, it was impossible to miss an extremely unpleasant chemical smell. Noodler’s inks have really been hit or miss with me, and I’m not convinced that I trust some of them. As some of my other reviews of Noodler’s inks show, I’ve found a couple that I really like, but some I just don’t. In this case, the smell makes me not want to risk putting it in pens of any value.

Is this ink worth a risk? You have to make your own decision.
