Callifolio - Inti
From their picture-perfect store in Albi, France, L’Artisan Pastellier gives the world a wide assortment of beautiful, and very affordable inks. They offer several lines and styles. Today’s ink, Inti, is from the Callifolio line of mixable inks.
Callifolio Inti is a deep, rich, burnt orange-terracotta. It’s a beautiful, autumnal color that conjures visions of nourishing forest walks and fallen leaves tumbling in the wind. This is a moderate shading ink on coated papers, where light stroke ends add highlights and variety. The splatter shows dark edgings surrounding areas of wetter application. In writing, they accent stroke outlines providing crisp, clean profiles.
Inti performed very well on all five papers tested (almost a given for L’Artisan Pastellier inks). It’s consistent and reliable on uncoated papers, but I recommend coated papers to get the most interesting results and widest variation. Callifolio inks are very well-behaved. In terms of drying time, Inti is about average, so no problem there. It’s a very nice writing ink.
If you’re new to L’Artisan Pastellier take a look at what they have to offer. I recommend Callifolio Inti, but they have a wide selection of beautiful inks. At those prices, grab a few!
